The Barton family has been in waste since 1977, with experience in almost every aspect of the industry — from operating transfer stations to world’s best practice, to recycling sorting, and managing major council contracts.
In 2018, the next generation, Matthew Barton, launched Bin Boy in Metropolitan Melbourne, a family-operated waste company built on a foundation of exceptional service and unwavering dedication to customers. That commitment saw it grow rapidly to become the leading provider in the strata sector, servicing more strata buildings in Victoria than any other waste company. Today, the business services thousands of sites across Victoria, NSW, and QLD, offering rear-load collections, skips, grease traps, sanitary waste management and other services.
As demand grew for large-scale commercial and industrial waste services, Barton Waste Management was established as the dedicated front-lift and bulk skip bin arm of the business. Together, Bin Boy and Barton Waste Management deliver complete, end-to-end waste services for strata, residential, commercial, industrial, hospitality, retail, government, and business sectors. Both businesses remain solely owned and operated by the Barton family.
